Fiber food and exercise and other factors contribute to the prevention of diabetes

Finnish researchers recently found to reduce saturated fat intake, eat more foods containing fiber, exercise 30 minutes a day and the practices contribute to the prevention of diabetes.

National Public Health Institute of Finland subfamily Tuomilehto said that lifestyle changes can not only reduce the high risk of suffering from Ⅱ type 2 diabetes risk, they may also postpone the onset time.

Tuomilehto and colleagues compared the lifestyle changes on the more than 500 patients with impaired glucose tolerance reduce the impact. In that 500 people, half of them in the and exercise accepted effective guidance, and the other half were used as controls. For seven consecutive years, tracking in the 2 groups of patients, scientists discovered that between them have tremendous difference. In a lifestyle intervention group, the lower the risk of developing diabetes by 15 to 20 percent.

Tuomilehto said: “Although lifestyle interventions alone may not be able to stop all suffering from Type Ⅱ diabetes, but this certainly will delay the onset of the patient.”
